New Hospitals Programme experts to host UHMBT Members’ event

Online talk for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust Members to be held on 10 June 2021 from 6.30pm.
On 10 June 2021, experts from the Lancashire and South Cumbria New Hospitals Programme will hold a talk for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust Members.
The online event will provide Foundation Trust Members with more details about proposals for new hospital facilities in our region, why they are needed and how the plans will be created.
The team will also outline the process that they are following for proposal development and approvals before any work can begin. The aim is to complete the building of new hospital facilities by 2030.
Rebecca Malin, New Hospitals Programme Director said:
“This really is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform our hospitals and the services we provide for local people. Decisions have not yet been made about the design or location of the new hospital buildings and collaboration with local people will be a fundamental and hugely important part of the process. This is a great opportunity for us to talk to Foundation Trust Members about the programme, and how we will be inviting local people, staff and stakeholders to input into the proposals.”
